Schedule of Classes
Class 1 Daffodils – 3 yellow flowers in a vase
Three flowers of any variety of daffodil featuring the colour yellow on the petals or the trumpet. Flowers must be of the same variety, not mixed.
Class 2 Daffodils – 3 white flowers in a vase
Three flowers of any variety of daffodil featuring the colour white on the petals or the trumpet. Flowers must be of the same variety.
Class 3 Daffodil – single flower
A single bloom of any variety of daffodil.
Class 4 Tulips – 3 flowers in a vase
Three flowers of any variety of tulip. Flowers must be of the same variety, not mixed.
Class 5 Tulip – single flower
A single bloom from any variety of tulip.
Class 6 Spring Bulbs – 3 flowers in a vase
Three flowers of any spring bulbs other than tulips or daffodils. Flowers must be of the same variety.
Class 7 Bits & Pieces from the Garden
May include foliage, flowers, berries & stems. Credit is given for the variety of specimens in the arrangement. Formal arrangements are not given extra credit.
Class 8 Foliage
An arrangement of at least 2 different varieties of foliage only. Credit is given for contrasting colours & form.
Class 9 Herbs
A posy of different herbs. Entries can be tied or in a vase. Credit is given for the variety of specimens
Class 10 House Plant
May be a flowering or non-flowering house plant. Where it is usual to plant a number of corms, tubers or bulbs in a pot to give a good effect, this will also qualify for this class.
