Our February ramble was a 5 mile walk starting in North Woodchester. We walked through fields and woodland leading up on Selsley Common, where the strong winds from ‘Storm Doris’ made the going quite difficult, until we descended again through the Vineyards leading down to Woodchester Park and South Woodchester. From there we returned to our starting point and then drove back to the Britannia Inn, Nailsworth for our lunch.

Surrounded by her memories and ghosts from her past Betty finds herself torn between a husband she never loved, a son about to leave and the man she shared a passionate affair with.

Local Mystery Walk – led by Mike Harvey (view poster here)
We had our first ramble today. So lucky with the weather! It was a 7 mile local walk from Nailsworth, up through Box onto the Common, across to Burleigh, on to Winstones Ice Cream shop, then back via Amberley and Theesecombe. A good meal as always at Egypt Mill.

For our first ramble of the year, Mike Harvey will take us on a 4-5 mile walk starting from the car park at Woodchester Priory. Some steep paths to get into the park, but then mainly flat, walking through fields and along pathways, which are likely to be muddy and slippery in places. We will see the Mansion and the Boat House as well as the lakes.
Lunch after at The Minchinhampton Old Course Club House.
See the menu below and please advise Mike (832739) of your choices by Monday 23rd February.
